Basic Funerals and Cremation Choices is a licensed Ontario funeral establishment and this means that we are able to perform any and all funeral services with our licensed funeral directors. Arrangements

When we started Basic Funerals, we decided that making arrangements as convenient and easy as possible would be our primary goal. Making funeral arrangements has always been an unpleasant and inconvenient experience as funeral homes usually demand families come into their location for the arrangement process.  This is not only unnecessary but we feel that during such a troubling time, arrangements should be done in a way that is most accommodating for the family. Because of this, we are prepared to take care of all the funeral arrangements over the phone and online to make this process easier for you. Arrangements can also be done in person with our funeral directors at selected locations listed on our Service Locations page, or in the comfort of your own home in the Oshawa area. The choice is completely yours.

Locations

Instead of operating a single traditional funeral home location, we hold our funeral services at many beautiful locations across the Oshawa area. This is a great benefit to the families we serve because they can choose from a variety of different chapels and reception centers to create a funeral service that is right for them. Some of the most beautiful chapels and reception centers in Oshawa are located on cemetery properties and we are in a position to use these facilities for the funeral services we hold. Simply put, we provide professional and dignified funeral services for about half the price of other funeral homes.  We provide services from the most basic to the most extravagant while still keeping our costs low.  We are able to do this because we don't have the high costs associated with maintaining an extravagant funeral home location but more importantly, we decided to base our business on serving many families across Oshawa instead of charging unreasonably high margins to a few.
